Technical Community Manager

We are looking for a technical community manager to help us grow open source interest for Mysterium Network. You’re ideally a computer science graduate and/or a developer looking to make the switch into communications.

In this is junior to a mid-level role, you will work directly with the Marketing Lead and Mysterium API Product Manager to spread messages and grow the following communities:

  1. Open source developer community
  2. General community

You will own posting and communications on the following channels:

  1. Twitter
  2. Reddit
  3. Bitcointalk
  4. Slack
  5. Facebook
  6. Telegram (General and Open Source chats)

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Help to define and to implement a community growth strategy that will grow the size and engagement of Mysterium Network’s open source and general communities.
  • Regular posting on social media platforms to drive traffic towards conversion-focused landing pages.
  • Interact and engage with community members through community tools, social media and other channels on a daily basis.
  • Work closely with the Mysterium API team and Marketing Lead to ensure the open-source and general community is provided with accurate and relevant technical updates and information.
  • Pair with Mysterium API team to build a learning development centre for technologists interested in building on the Mysterium Network.
  • Identify new or better ways to use social platforms to enhance storytelling and interact with the community.
  • Be the ears of the community and pass on its feedback, issues, concerns and ideas to everybody else at Mysterium. Provide the team with community’s feedback (in such form that could be easily understood) and collaborate in preparation of communication material (e.g. editing, proofreading, providing and receiving feedback, etc.).
  • Identify and build relationships with key community members or social media influencers who could contribute Mysterium Network.
  • Become familiar with Mysterium Network vision, goals, current achievements, team & processes.
  • Start collecting community engagement statistics and together with the team decide on target metrics.


  • Copywriting
    Technical writing, blog posts, documentation, creative writing, a great email – whatever it is we’d like to see a range of examples.  
  • Degree in computer science or engineering.
    This is not a must, but you have to be highly capable at clearly understanding and articulating technical concepts simply.
  • A cool head
    As our frontline, you are able to manage disgruntled members of the community and turn difficult questions into positive conversations.

Bonus points for:

  • Basic design skills (sketch, canva, photoshop – doesn’t matter)
  • Other languages
  • Experience with Facebook business manager  
  • Experience with CMS
  • Experience with growing Medium Publications
