We are building a permissionless VPN Node Network to help rewire the fabric of the internet.
Our node software is available on Linux (including Raspberry Pi) and Mac. We are currently running an incentivised research and development initiative. Live in the UK, US, Germany or Italy? Find out more.
A VPN is a virtual private network which allows you to proxy your encrypted traffic through multiple IP addresses (in the case of our network, nodes) so that your entry and exit IPs cannot be connected with each other.
There is no mining of MYST tokens in a traditional sense and the total supply isn’t going to be increasing. Interested in the work we are doing to implement payments? Check out our most recent blog post.
MYST is an ERC20 token and can be stored in any Ethereum Address. This means you can store your MYST tokens on most Ethereum wallets (including MyEtherWallet and Ledger/ Trezor hardware wallets).
Mysterium Node FAQs
Mysterium Network is building a marketplace where end users and businesses can multi-hop and relay traffic.
On Mysterium Network each of our Node Runners are sellers of unused traffic.
In Mysterium Network we have an option for you to join our node pilot and earn for allowing us to send test traffic to your residential IP.
Why are we doing this? You sharing your IP in the network allows us to understand different aspects of network strength, speed, and vulnerabilities in a test environment. Find out more about whitelisted traffic.
We are working with several B2B providers to create technical requirements for streaming.

What should the open source developer community build around Mysterium Network?
We should begin with the obvious. VPN services.
To gain mass adoption we will need to grow the number of end users and Node Runners using Mysterium Network. Mysterium VPN code is open source, so take it, rebrand it, enable different payment methods, and launch your own VPN app.
All without deploying a single VPN node.
Internet of Things
IoT is coming sooner than we think. This opens up multiple potential security breaches in homes. We plan to work with IoT startups to help build security into web3. For example.: Personal VPN.
We are currently on a lot of social media platforms, but for chatting we use Twitter, Telegram, and moving General group to Discord SOON!
